Topic Finance

Terms of use

Last updated 2 October 2026

In short: every feature is free for 21 days. After that, Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, through Google Play. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in Google Play. The app is a tool, not financial advice, and it comes without a warranty.

These terms cover Topic Finance, the Android app published by TopicDev ("we"). By installing or using the app, you agree to them.

1. The app

Topic Finance helps you record income, expenses, transfers and subscriptions, set budgets and see where your money goes. It stores your data on your phone, and offers an optional backup to your Google Drive and an optional shared budget.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app, and old enough in your country to make purchases, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.

3. Free trial and Premium

4. Not financial advice

The app is a tool for keeping track of your own money. Nothing in it is financial, tax or investment advice. Currency conversions use exchange rates from a third-party service, which may be delayed or differ from the rates your bank uses, so treat converted amounts as estimates.

5. Your data

Your data belongs to you, and you're responsible for it, including keeping backups. If you uninstall the app or clear its data without a backup, it can't be recovered. If you share a budget, everyone you invite can see and change everything in it, so only share invite codes with people you trust. See the privacy policy.

6. Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully. Don't try to access other people's shared budgets, interfere with the services the app relies on, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

7. Licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices. The app, its design and its content belong to TopicDev. Getting the app from Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

8. Third-party services

Some features rely on services from others: Google Play, Google sign-in, Google Drive and Firebase from Google, and exchange rates from Frankfurter. We aren't responsible for their availability, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

9. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that it will be error-free or always available, or that its calculations will suit your purposes. This doesn't affect any rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, for financial decisions you make using the app, or for lost data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. We'll publish the new terms here with a new date; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept them. Your right to use the app ends if you break these terms, or when you uninstall it. Sections 4, 9, 10 and 12 continue to apply afterwards.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. If you live elsewhere as a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of the laws of your own country that can't be excluded by agreement.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: support@topicdev.com, or the contact form.
